About Me And This BlogThanks for visiting my blog!
I did not think my wife and I would be able to retire from corporate management before our seventies. Then, at age 61, I discovered high-yield investing and at age 63 I adopted frugality-without-sacrifice budgeting. The good news is that this powerful combination set me free before I hit 65. The bad news is that I could have set myself free decades earlier had I known then what I know now.
This blog is my way of sharing the good stuff I have learned and the mistakes I have made -- as well as how I am enjoying retirement now.
I'm a hands-on stock investor. I'm a BIG hiker and Civil War buff. I love reading history books, playing computer strategy games, and watching (good) DVD movies. And for me frugality without sacrifice is a mission.
I hope you'll enjoy reading my posts!
(Please remember: I am not a professional financial or investment advisor. I am just relating my personal experiences. You need to do your own research and reach your own conclusions.)
